  • Lions Park 450 South Flood Avenue Norman, OK, 73069 United States

Seattle's Dusty 45s have inspired and fired up crowds for almost two decades. The group will fire up Summer Breeze 2016 as the opening concert. Bring seating and your favorite refreshments to Lions Park for an evening of great, free entertainment.

The Dusty 45s deliver their rockin', high energy music at full throttle, keeping fans on their feet and begging for more. The group melds styles ranging from country twang to jump blues and surf to R & B, even adding Dixieland and jazz elements. Infused by a passion for American roots music in all its varied forms, The Dusty 45s blur the line between genres to create a sizzling sound that is entirely fresh and uniquely their own.

Singer-songwriter Billy Joe Huels, known for his charismatic stage presence, delivers his original tunes with panache playing a signature 65 Gibson steel string guitar in addition to his fiery trumpet. Joining Huels on stage are Jerry Battista on lead guitar and vocals, Kelly Van Camp on drums and harmonica, and Robin Cady on upright bass.

The Dusty 45s rock packed houses from coast to coast. Six independent releases have earned the band constant airplay, glowing reviews, and impressive sales in the US and abroad. The band's 2014 live album, The Dusty 45s: Live and On Fire, brings the best of the band's brassy sound.

Recently tapped to back Wanda Jackson, “The Queen of Rockabilly,” in support of her Jack White produced record, the Dusty 45s toured with Jackson, including opening with her for Grammy winner Adele on her sold out US tour. In 2015 the Dusty 45s were featured on the Cayamo Music Cruise, alongside top artists, Lyle Lovett, John Prine, Lucinda Williams, Kacey Musgraves and Brandi Carlisle.

With a deep discography, thousands of miles on the tour van odometer, and a committed fan base in the US and Europe, the Dusty 45s are professional, confident and experienced -- a talented band with a creative fire that burns bright.
