Bert Seabourn, internationally recognized abstract expressionist artist whose work is in The Depot Gallery through October 29, will discuss and demonstrate his painting techinques during a free afternoon Art Chat. All are welcome.
Primarily a painter of Native American subjects, Seabourn also paints figures, landscapes, and other subjects. As an expressionist, he uses the technique of dripping, smearing, and splattering the paint, working in acrylic, oil and watercolor. In 1976, the Five Civilized Tribes of Oklahoma designated Seabourn a Master Artist, and in 1981, he received the Oklahoma Governor's Art Award.
